Christopher Nice has been appointed Operations Director by Rise Digital Media, which provides digital and technology solutions to the road passenger transport industry.
He joins from the Confederation of Passenger Transport (CPT), having latterly held the post of Director of Membership and Member Services with the trade body.
Rise Digital Media Managing Director Scott James says Mr Nice’s experience gained during a long career with CPT will be useful as the supplier continues its product development. “We are delighted to welcome Chris to the growing team at Rise Digital Media,” adds Mr James.
“His knowledge and understanding of the issues currently impacting the coach and bus industry means that he is ideally placed to advise on the future development and launch plans for our Mobility-as-a-Service products (BusHub and NextStop app) as operators respond to changing operating environments and future opportunities.”
During his time with CPT, Mr Nice spent time on secondment with the industry’s former environmental lobby group Greener Journeys as Campaign Manager and with First Bus in the South East and Midlands as Marketing Manager.
Commenting on his appointment with Rise Digital Media, Mr Nice says: “The last 18 months have clearly demonstrated the vital role that technology has to play in helping operators to stay compliant while keeping passengers informed and connected with the latest information and advice from across the networks.
“I very much look forward to starting in this exciting new role and working on projects that are making a real different to passenger experiences and which are helping to make coach and bus travel increasingly attractive to passengers.”
