Planning and taking bus trips made easy for BRYLAINE passengers

Friday 25 February 2022

BRYLAINE Travel of Lincolnshire has today (Friday 25 February) launched a brand-new travel App for its bus passengers.

Developed and launched in partnership with industry tech firm Rise Digital Media, the App provides users with simple and instant access to the very latest service information, timetables, live bus tracking (arrival and departure times), journey planning tools and operator news.

Registered users of the App – available in the APP Store and Google Play - can also save favourite services, stops and routes for quick reference.

Speaking about the launch of the App, Marrianne del Garbutt, Managing Director at BRYLAINE said:

“We have thoroughly enjoyed working with Rise on this first stage of our digital comms, they have been efficient and adept at resolving any issues.  The first stage has moved swiftly, enabling us to bring about much needed coms across our rural footprint.

“The App itself is free, easy to use, everything at the touch of a button etc, and we expect to shortly add further developments including fares, push notifications to passengers and tickets.  This will be combined with the development of a new website; which should help pull together the much-needed passenger transport communication for our districts.”

Chris Nice, Operations Director at Rise Digital Media added: “We know that passengers want instant and easy access to up to the minute information on buses and services, and we are therefore delighted to have worked with the team at BRYLAINE during the production and launch of their exciting new passenger App.

“The App, driven by our BusHub Mobility Platform, makes it easy for both new and existing passengers to plan and take bus trips in and around Boston and Spalding.  The live vehicle tracking feature allows passengers to view the exact location and punctuality of buses on particular routes, meaning their waiting times at stops and stations can be better managed and ultimately reduced.”

Chris added: “We look forward to continuing our work with BRYLAINE over the coming months as we roll-out further digital solutions for the benefit of the company and, most importantly, their passengers.”
